Dream & Desire Lab
“Our desire to create beauty facilitates the integration of our brains and the renewal of our minds.”
- Dr. Curt Thompson, Author of “The Soul of Desire: Discovering the Neuroscience of Longing, Beauty, and Community”
What is Dream & Desire Lab?
The Dream and Desire Lab was born from a desire to provide a safe space for creatives to explore and share ideas, thoughts, or dreams in the realm of creativity, beauty, and integration. The hope is that the Dream and Desire Lab will become more and more incarnational as it grows. Hence, to begin, the first Dream and Desire Lab will be hosted via Google Meet (this will be the link).
To sign up, please complete this form to sign up and share what time would work best for you.
The Dream and Desire Lab will be a one-hour commitment where creatives will come together and spend the first 10-20 minutes sharing thoughts on a certain prompt (i.e., what are the biggest blocks to creativity for you? or how are you being invited to create in your life right now?).
Afterwards, the next 20-30 minutes will be an open space for individuals to share creative ideas and/or projects (i.e., sharing a PowerPoint presentation on a workshop idea or explaining a desire to write a children’s book). The sharing does not have to be well formulated, it is only required that there is a desire. Upon sharing, the individual will receive helpful insights or thoughts from the other collaborators who will supply open-ended, non-judgemental questions or wonder statements (i.e., I am wondering what the process of writing a song will look like for you? or I love this idea, tell me more about the vision of this idea?).
Please note: advice giving and criticism are NOT accepted. This is a space of encouragement and to support the creative process for one another.
Why are you invited to the Dream & Desire Lab?
Well, first, because you are AWESOME. Second, because you are someone whom I have observed and seen who possesses a unique, creative heart of beauty. Last of all, you have full freedom to accept this invitation or not!

“Cause every night I lie in bed
The brightest colors fill my head
A million dreams are keeping me awake
I think of what the world could be
A vision of the one I see
A million dreams is all it's gonna take
A million dreams for the world we're gonna make.”
- A Million Dreams, song from The Greatest Showman
Creating is a vulnerable process. I have spent many years being afraid to share my creativity with others. Yet, I believe that this is not the end of my story…there is more creativity to share.
Here is a past creative project that was never shared because I was afraid of criticism, rejection, and judgment.
This is for younger Lou, whose heart was layered with shame and lacked the courage to share her voice, her heart, and her beautiful soul.
