Why does the House of Integration exist?

In short: We exist for you!

In long: We exist because we believe in the nobility of humanity. We exist because we believe that every human person is unique and unrepeatable. We exist because we believe that each human person is created by Love, for Love, and to Love.

We exist because we know that life is messy and can be challenging to navigate alone. Therefore, this is a space for the fragments and pieces that we carry to be recreated into something new!

We seek to see the creative genius in every human being and provide a safe space for their innate goodness to be experienced. Without agendas, judgement, and control, this is a space of organic growth, discovery, and unbecoming.

Disclaimer: We don’t do the recreating, but we believe that there is someone who can do a better job than we can: Jesus Christ. He is the Divine Integrator, the Divine Recreator, and the Divine Builder.

We hold the space, He does the rest.

“It is good that you exist, how wonderful you are!”

The Story:

Inside a convent cell, Louisa lay sick in bed. As she lay there, she became acutely aware that something intangibly important was growing in her cell. The word cell comes from the Latin word cella, meaning “small room.” Louisa sensed that something new wanted to emerge from her small room. This something did not have a name yet, so Louisa peacefully acknowledged this mysterious interior movement and tucked it away in her heart for later.

Months go by, and Louisa is no longer in the convent. While going on a leisurely walk one day, Louisa begins to ponder her favorite word: integration. Simultaneously, Louisa finds herself gawking at the beautiful houses she is passing by on her walk. In an organic sort of way, an inspiration to combine the words integration and house occurs. Louisa stops in her tracks and wonders, what if there were a House of Integration?

Responding to this spontaneous invitation to co-create and build a House of Integration, Louisa officially launched the House of Integration™ in May 2025. Without knowing what it will become, Louisa trusts that, similar to her beliefs about the human person, the House of Integration™ is a space that will organically blossom and grow into what it is created to be.

Who Built the House of Integration?

About Louisa:

A Minnesota native, Louisa thrives on coffee (currently beginning a new matcha kick), the outdoors, and learning about the human person. Louisa (also known as Lou) has spent the bulk of her education studying psychology, philosophy, anthropology, and pondering what the word integration means. Louisa is passionate about the art of leisure, creativity, and embracing reality as a gift! Lou recently became a first-time illustrator and co-created a children’s board book with her sister. The book can be viewed and purchased here.
